PDP Can’t Delay Decision on Wike Any Longer, Says Bode George

Former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olabode George, has emphasized the urgency for the party to make a decision regarding the controversy surrounding Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike. George stated that the party cannot afford to delay action any longer and must address the issue promptly to avoid being perceived as weak.

He highlighted the importance of party unity and credibility, noting that the upcoming National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting must serve as a turning point in resolving the internal tension. George's comments come in the midst of a Southern Zoning Consultative Meeting attended by key party figures, including Governors Seyi Makinde and Douye Diri, where the issue of zoning was discussed.

The NEC meeting, scheduled for Monday, is expected to address the crisis and ensure the party's cohesion.
