Bode George Calls For Unity As PDP Prepares For Elective Convention

Bode George, an elder statesman, urged unity within the PDP ahead of its upcoming elective convention during an appearance on Arise Television. He warned against internal sabotage and called for decisive action against members undermining party unity.

George emphasized the need for the PDP to remain a credible opposition force and highlighted the establishment of a zoning committee by the National Executive Committee to review leadership arrangements across Nigeria's geopolitical zones. The former deputy national chairman expressed frustration with disloyal members and called for a united front to advance the party's collective interests.

The convention, initially planned as a regular one, has been converted to an elective one amidst internal crises and the resignation of key officials.
