PDP Chieftain Daniel Orbih Passes Away at 64

Chief Daniel Osi Orbih, a notable chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and holder of several traditional titles, including Kulukulu 1 of Ogoni Land and Oduma of Uzairue, died on August 31, 2026, at the age of 64. His death was confirmed by his family in a statement signed by Francis Udukhomoi Orbih, Esq., which expressed profound sadness and described him as a beloved brother, husband, father, and uncle.

Born on October 27, 1961, in Ogbona, Etsako Central Local Government, Orbih received his education at various institutions, culminating in a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Benin in 1984. He ventured into politics as the deputy governorship candidate of the All Peoples Party (APP) in Edo State in 1999.

Orbih also pursued further education, earning certifications in International Petroleum Management from Eni in Rome and Corporate Leadership from Harvard Business School. He is survived by his wife, children, and extended family, who have requested prayers during this difficult time.
