PDP Denies Lawsuit Threat, Seeks INEC Recognition

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has officially refuted allegations regarding a lawsuit threat by its candidates against the party leadership. Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, a prominent figure within the PDP, labeled these claims as false in a statement issued on Tuesday.

The party's interim national publicity secretary, Ini Ememobong, supported this assertion. Additionally, the PDP announced its intention to seek a court order compelling the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognize its interim national working committee (NWC).

This legal action follows a previous court hearing where the PDP's counsel adopted a respectful process, leading to the adjournment of the case with a judgment date yet to be communicated. The PDP is actively pursuing recognition of its interim national working committee, which was constituted by the national executive committee (NEC) of the party.
