PDP's Turaki Addresses Aspirants on INEC Access Issues

Tanimu Turaki, the leader of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), reassured party aspirants about their concerns regarding the lack of access to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) code necessary for candidate registration. He emphasized the importance of remaining calm as a faction of the party is currently engaged in legal proceedings concerning this matter.

Turaki's comments followed claims from aspirants who threatened to take legal action against the interim National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged fraudulent activities related to the purchase of nomination forms. The PDP faction, led by Turaki, is also dealing with a court case in Plateau State, where a panel led by Justice Okon Abang recently ruled to sack 11 PDP lawmakers.

Emeombong, a spokesperson for the Turaki-led NWC, reiterated the need for patience as the party awaits INEC's final list of candidates for the upcoming 2027 general elections.
