PDP Denies Requesting ₦10,000 Contributions from Members, Calls It Voluntary Support

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Nigeria has denied allegations of soliciting ₦10,000 contributions from members for party activities. Ememobong, the PDP spokesperson, clarified that the party views the contributions as voluntary support to strengthen grassroots political funding, not compulsory levies.

The party emphasized the legitimacy of voluntary contributions during this time of testing grassroots political funding models. The denial comes in response to reports of the party allegedly imposing the said amount on members.
