PDP Finally Zones 2027 Presidential Ticket To South As North Retains Chairmanship

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially announced the zoning of the 2027 presidential ticket to the South during its 102nd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja. The decision was made as part of key resolutions, with the North retaining the chairmanship position.

PDP's National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, revealed that the zoning committee recommended that the elective positions, currently held by the North, be retained by the South. This means that the office of the National Chairman and the presidential ticket will be reserved for candidates from the South.

The move signifies a strategic decision by the PDP to balance power dynamics within the party ahead of the upcoming elections.
