Breaking: PDP Zones 2027 Presidential Ticket to South

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the zoning of the 2027 presidential ticket to the South following a decision reached at the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held in Abuja. The party's national spokesman, Debo Ologunagba, stated that the NEC approved the recommendation of the zoning committee after extensive deliberation.

The existing zoning arrangement for the National Working Committee (NWC) positions will remain in place until the national convention in November, where a new NWC will be elected. The national office positions currently held by individuals from the northern region will remain in the north, while those from the southern region will remain in the south.

The position of national chairman will be retained in the northern region, while the presidential candidate for the 2027 general election has been zoned to the southern region.
