PDP Governors to Meet in Zamfara Ahead of National Convention

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors are set to meet in Zamfara ahead of the party's National Elective Convention in November. The meeting, scheduled to take place in Gusau over the weekend, aims to discuss key matters related to the convention.

The governors are expected to arrive on Friday, with the main meeting planned for Saturday. The focus of the discussions will be on ensuring a smooth conduct of the convention on November 15-16.

A source within the PDP National Working Committee emphasized the importance of the convention for the party's future and expressed confidence that any internal factional disputes would be resolved. The PDP is positioning itself as a viable alternative to the ruling All Progressives Congress, with plans to rescue Nigeria from what they perceive as ineffectiveness by 2027.
