PDP Govs to Party Faithful: Resist Attempts by Anti-party Forces to Derail Convention

The PDP Governors Forum has urged party members to resist attempts by anti-party forces to derail the upcoming November 15 National Convention in Ibadan. The governors commended the party's resilience in the face of defections and intimidation by the ruling APC, emphasizing the importance of the PDP as a democratic institution and a viable alternative for good governance in Nigeria.

They discussed security challenges, erosion of democratic values, and efforts to reposition the party. Governor Wike of the FCT warned of potential crises if issues from the Zonal Congress in Calabar are not addressed, insisting on recognizing the return of Chief Dan Orbih as Vice Chairman.

The governors also criticized the APC's governance style and called for vigilance in protecting the electoral process. They reaffirmed their commitment to rescuing Nigeria from divisive governance.
