PDP Raises Alarm Over Banditry and Kidnapping in Nigeria, Urges Government Action

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Nigeria has highlighted the factors fueling banditry and kidnapping in the country, emphasizing the need for urgent government intervention. PDP's National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, criticized the government's approach, stating that insecurity is expanding due to a rapidly growing criminal economy.

Ememobong called for a firm order to halt violent attacks and emphasized the importance of addressing the systemic issues enabling criminal activities. The party also raised concerns about the recruitment and deployment of poorly trained security personnel in conflict zones, warning that ransom-driven operations cannot be curbed without decisive action.
