PDP Youth Movement Backs Wike's Support for Tinubu

The PDP National Youth Movement has expressed its support for FCT Minister Nyesom Wike's endorsement of President Bola Tinubu's 2027 re-election. Citizen S.A.

Lukman, the National President of the movement, issued a statement urging the Progressive Governors Forum to reflect on their internal party dynamics instead of criticizing Wike regarding the Rainbow Coalition. Lukman clarified that Wike's support for Tinubu does not hinder the PDP's ability to participate in other elections.

He emphasized that the coalition is not an attack on the APC but a supportive structure for Tinubu. Lukman criticized the APC governors for their handling of primary elections, questioning the integrity of their candidate selection processes.

He argued that political leaders should take responsibility for their nomination decisions and not blame Wike for seeking alternative political arrangements. Lukman also pointed out that voters can support different parties across various electoral levels, advocating for a broader understanding of the political realignment rather than a personal conflict between Wike and the APC governors.
