PDP zoning decision clears road for Tinubu in 2027 – Namadi’s Aide

The decision by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to zone the 2027 presidential ticket to the South has been seen as clearing the path for Bola Ahmed Tinubu's potential bid. Garba Muhammad, Senior Special Assistant to Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi, highlighted this advantage for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in a post on Facebook.

Muhammad also mentioned that the decision could provide an opportunity for Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike. The PDP's resolution was made during their 102nd National Executive Committee meeting in Abuja, chaired by Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri.

The party's National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, reaffirmed the party's commitment to democracy and the interests of citizens as they prepare to reclaim power in 2027.
