Legendary Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has debunked false death reports that circulated online, revealing that he has been mistakenly declared dead seven times. Edochie, in an interview with Vanguard, dismissed the rumors and assured fans of his good health.

He shared how such rumors have not affected him negatively and emphasized the importance of not causing unnecessary panic among his supporters. Edochie, who is set to turn 79 on March 7, remains grateful for his health and longevity.

He drew inspiration from a lesson he learned from Nigeria's late leader, Nnamdi Azikiwe, about outliving one's detractors. Despite the repeated death hoaxes, Edochie continues to stay resilient and focused on his craft.
