Pete Edochie's Family Fights Back Against Death Rumors

The family of veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has initiated legal action against a TikTok user who falsely claimed that the actor had died. The claim, which was shared on Facebook on Thursday night, prompted significant concern among fans.

Leo Edochie, the actor's eldest son, announced that the family is collaborating with the Department of State Services (DSS) and is offering a cash reward for any information that leads to the arrest of the individual responsible for the false information. The TikTok user’s video sparked widespread alarm, leading the family to urge the public to provide relevant information to the authorities, who are already investigating the case.

Pete Edochie, 78 years old, described the death claim as baseless and mischievous, emphasizing that he is alive and in good health. In a telephone interview, he expressed frustration over the recurrence of such false reports, recalling previous instances of similar rumors, including one about a plane crash abroad.
