Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), has reiterated his claim that he won the 2023 presidential election, stating that the official results do not accurately represent the true outcome. Obi made these assertions on Saturday while speaking on the Naija Unfiltered podcast.

He emphasized that he understood the electoral process and maintained that his campaign emerged victorious despite the official declaration. In the election, Obi garnered six million votes, competing against notable candidates including Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Atiku Abubakar of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP).
