On Tuesday, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) held its National Convention at the Rainbow Event Centre in Abuja, attracting approximately 3,000 delegates and political stakeholders, including prominent figures such as Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, and Rabiu Kwankwaso. The convention's theme was "So Nation Mai Work," emphasizing the need to strengthen internal unity and outline strategies for the upcoming 2027 general elections.

Key discussions included restructuring the party's leadership framework and addressing unresolved organizational issues across states. The convention was marked by a leadership dispute, with rival factions led by David Mark and Nafiu Bala claiming control over the party's leadership amid ongoing court cases regarding the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC) recognition of either faction.
