Peter Obi Slams National Grid Collapse, Calls for Reliable Electricity Supply

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party in the 2023 election, criticized the frequent collapses of Nigeria's national grid, particularly during President Bola Tinubu's administration. Obi highlighted the recent power supply disruptions across the country due to grid failures, impacting ordinary Nigerians.

The collapse occurred between 11 am and 12 pm, leading to a significant drop in generated megawatts. Obi emphasized the need for consistent electricity supply, reminding the public of President Tinubu's promises.

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) attributed the grid failures to aging infrastructure, promising to address the issues to prevent further power outages.
