Peter Obi Slams APC, Calls for "New Politics of Prosperity" in Nigeria

Former Anambra State governor and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, criticized the APC for undermining Nigeria's potential during a press conference in Abuja. Obi highlighted the country's regression under APC rule, citing increased poverty levels, heavy taxation, and a stagnant economy.

He emphasized the need for a "New Politics of Prosperity" to steer Nigeria back on track towards becoming a global powerhouse. Obi urged for competent, non-divisive leadership to address the challenges facing the nation.

He pointed out that Nigeria's debt has risen to N175 trillion, impacting the productive sector negatively. Obi called for a shift in governance to restore prosperity, freedom, and justice in the country.
