Peter Obi Advocates for New Nigeria at ADC Membership Drive

On Saturday, Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and the Labour Party's presidential candidate for the 2023 general elections, participated in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) membership registration drive in Awka, aimed at mobilizing support for the 2027 elections. Obi emphasized the need for a new Nigeria, highlighting the challenges the country faces, including poverty and insecurity.

He called for unity among Nigerians and stressed the importance of grassroots investment in healthcare and education. Obi criticized the current political leadership, stating that the electoral process should not be manipulated and that political parties must ensure fair conduct in elections.

He was joined by notable figures including Senator Toni Nwoye and Victor Umeh, who reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring the ADC's success in the upcoming state elections. Deputy Chairman of the ADC, Senator Ben Ndi Obi, urged party members to focus on mobilizing new members to achieve electoral success.
