‘Peter Obi remains a committed LP member’

At the Oyo State Obidient Conference themed "Going Forward 2027: New Nigeria Possible," attendees reaffirmed Peter Obi's commitment to the Labour Party (LP). The event, held at the Empowerment Centre on Ring Road in Ibadan, drew party loyalists, political analysts, and grassroots organizers from across the state.

Yunusa, a speaker at the conference, dispelled rumors of Obi's potential defection, emphasizing that he remains a dedicated LP member. Yunusa stated that Obi intends to run in the 2027 general election with a focus on providing purposeful leadership for Nigeria.

The conference also featured a critical assessment of Nigeria's current situation by renowned linguist Francis Egbokhare, who highlighted the nation's untapped talent and the need for effective governance. The Oyo State Coordinator, Ayo Akinyemi, urged members to stay united and committed to the movement for positive change in Nigeria.
