Peter Obi Slams APC Over Extravagance and Poverty in Independence Day Message

Former Nigerian Vice President, Peter Obi, criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in his Independence Day message on Facebook. Obi accused the government of prioritizing luxury projects over citizens' welfare, highlighting extravagant spending on a new presidential jet, yacht, and luxury cars.

He lamented the lack of basic services for 150 million Nigerians and warned of a looming hunger crisis. Obi also criticized reckless borrowing and the worsening insecurity in the country.

He emphasized the need for better governance to address these challenges and create a "Great Nigeria." The statement aimed to draw attention to the failures of leadership in Nigeria on its 65th Independence anniversary.
