Peter Obi Visits Rufai’s Family, Laments Neglects of Ex Internationals

Former Nigerian presidential candidate Peter Obi visited the family of the late Peter Rufai in Lagos to offer condolences and express his dismay at the neglect of former Nigerian internationals. Obi lamented the lack of a befitting honor for Rufai, who was a celebrated goalkeeper and captain of the Super Eagles.

Despite his significant contributions to Nigerian football, Rufai did not receive the recognition he deserved in death. Obi highlighted the troubling pattern of neglect towards sports heroes in the country.
