Peter Rufai: Peter Obi Visits Late Super Eagles Legendary Goalkeeper’s Family, Photos Trend

Peter Obi, the Labour Party candidate for the 2023 presidential election, visited the family of the late Super Eagles legendary goalkeeper, Peter Rufai, who was laid to rest on Friday, August 22. Accompanied by footballer Sylvanus Okpala, Obi expressed his condolences, offered prayers, and encouraged the family during his visit.

Rufai's younger brother, Bruce, and sister, Bosede Dele, received Obi at their residence in Amuwo Odofin, where he spent an hour signing a condolence book. Rufai, affectionately known as Dodo Mayana, passed away on July 3 after a prolonged illness.

Former Super Eagles head coach, Augustine Eguavoen, criticized the Nigerian government for not providing enough support to Rufai's family. The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) responded by confirming that they had reached out to the family and offered financial support for Rufai's final rites.
