Peter Obi's Coalition Denies Compulsion to Join ADC Amid Criticism

Peter Obi's coalition, Obidient Movement, clarified that they have not forced anyone to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC). This comes after a directive for members to resign from their current political parties and fully embrace the ADC.

The ADC National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, stated that there was no compulsion for coalition members to join the ADC. The directive faced criticism, with concerns that Peter Obi might be pressured to leave the Labour Party for the ADC.

Abdullahi emphasized that the coalition members misunderstood the party's stance and that no one was coerced into joining the ADC.
