Fani-Kayode Predicts Obi Will Abandon Kwankwaso Soon

Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister, expressed his belief that Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate, will eventually abandon Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State. Fani-Kayode's comments came in response to Obi's potential candidacy for the 2027 elections under the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC).

He suggested that Obi's strategy to secure the southern presidential ticket would lead to a division of votes, which he believes will not succeed. Fani-Kayode, who previously respected Kwankwaso's intelligence, indicated that he finds Kwankwaso's behavior puzzling.

He further stated that the NDC has no realistic hope of winning the upcoming elections, emphasizing that Obi's plans are not in the best interest of the party or its candidates.
