Fani-Kayode: Kwankwaso Won't Be Obi's Running Mate

Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation, expressed that Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso will never serve as Peter Obi's running mate in the upcoming 2027 general elections. He argued that Kwankwaso's political experience and influence in the North, along with his longstanding role in Nigerian politics, make him unlikely to accept a subordinate position to Obi.

Fani-Kayode pointed out that the opposition coalition, which includes figures like Atiku Abubakar, is facing internal distrust and power struggles, which undermine their collective interests. He criticized Obi and Atiku for their lack of political consistency and noted that Obi's frequent departures from political platforms when disagreements arise weaken public confidence in the coalition.

Fani-Kayode also mentioned that religious and ideological differences among the politicians complicate any potential alliance. He concluded by urging Obi and Atiku to abandon unrealistic attempts to regain control of the country's leadership, emphasizing the challenges they face in uniting against the ruling APC.
