Onanuga Questions Obi's One-Term Promise Credibility

Bayo Onanuga, a presidential spokesperson, has expressed skepticism regarding Peter Obi's recent statement about serving only one term if elected president. Onanuga's criticism stems from Obi's past political behavior, particularly his previous allegiance to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and his subsequent shift to the People's Democratic Party (PDP).

He recalled that Obi had previously pledged loyalty to the APGA and assured late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu of his commitment to the party. However, Obi later left the APGA, raising questions about the reliability of his current promises.

Onanuga characterized Obi as a politician whose frequent changes in political alliances undermine public confidence in his declarations. He noted that Obi's commitment to focus on stabilizing the country and addressing urgent national challenges within a four-year term is met with skepticism due to his past actions.
