Nigerian Petrol Consumption Declines to 52.9m Litres Daily in November Amid Dangote's Production Boost

According to the latest data from the Nigerian midstream and downstream petroleum regulatory authority (NMDPRA), petrol consumption in Nigeria dropped to 52.9 million litres per day in November from 56.74 million litres in October. Despite the decline in consumption, overall supply levels remained strong due to increased contributions from domestic refineries and imports.

Dangote's production saw a significant increase to 23.52 million litres in November compared to 18.03 million litres in October. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) recorded no petrol production during the period, leading to a rise in imports to meet the nation's demand.
