Prince Adeyemi Remanded Over Forgery Charges in Abuja

The Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the remand of Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi at Kuje Correctional Centre following his not guilty plea to an 8-count charge that includes forgery, conspiracy, and impersonation. Adeyemi was accused of falsely claiming to be the Director-General of the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council and using forged documents to create an illusion of official government endorsement.

The charges, filed in November 2025, also involve two accomplices, Femi and Anu, who remain at large. Allegations include the forgery of presidential appointment letters and other official documents, purportedly signed by Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila.

Adeyemi allegedly held himself out as Director-General from 2024 to 2025. Following his plea, prosecution counsel Rotimi Oyedepo urged for his remand pending trial, while defence counsel Genesis Francis indicated a bail application had been filed.

The case is adjourned until October 12, 2026, for trial and bail hearing.
