Kenneth Okonkwo Critiques NASS Over PFIPC Investigation

Kenneth Okonkwo, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, has publicly criticized the National Assembly regarding its investigation into the alleged scandal involving the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). He accused lawmakers of failing to interrogate two significant figures: Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, and Adeniyi Adeyemi, the purported Director-General of the PFIPC.

In a post on X, Okonkwo described the investigation's conclusion without hearing from these individuals as a violation of natural justice, stating that any findings condemning them without their input would be a nullity. He dismissed the explanation from Inspector-General of Police Tunji Disu regarding Adeyemi's absence due to a court remand as absurd, asserting that such orders should not hinder legislative oversight.

Okonkwo further questioned why Gbajabiamila, who is not detained, was not called to testify, labeling the National Assembly's actions as a mockery of justice and urging Nigerians to vote for change in 2027.
