Port Harcourt Airport Achieves Global Safety Certification

Port Harcourt International Airport has achieved global certification, confirming its compliance with safety standards established by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority and the International Civil Aviation Organization. This certification was announced following extensive upgrades and modernization of the airport's infrastructure, which included the provision of critical safety equipment.

Lynda Ezik, the General Manager of the South-South Airport Management at Port Harcourt International Airport, disclosed this information during a courtesy visit to the Government House in Port Harcourt, where she presented the certification to River State Governor Siminalayi Fubara. Ezik acknowledged the contributions of the River State government in facilitating the airport's upgrades to meet safety requirements stipulated by local and international regulations.

Governor Fubara's leadership was highlighted as instrumental in achieving this certification, which positions Port Harcourt International Airport as a key player in global aviation safety programs and sets the stage for international operations.
