Public Hearing on Human Rights Defenders Protection Bill

On Wednesday, at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja, Hon. Abiola Makinde, the Chairman of the House Committee on Human Rights, and Hon.

Muham Jalo engaged in discussions with Toni Ojukwu, the Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission. The meeting was part of a public hearing focused on two significant legislative proposals: the Human Rights Defenders Protection Bill 2024 (HB1867) and the repeal and enactment of the National Rights Commission Act 2025 (HB2375).
