Jonathan Meets ADC Aspirant Hayatu-Deen Ahead of 2027

On Friday, former President Goodluck Jonathan met with Moham Hayatu-Deen, the presidential aspirant of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), in Abuja. The meeting, held behind closed doors, focused on the state of the nation and the outlook for Nigeria's 2027 general elections.

Jonathan and Hayatu-Deen have a long history of collaboration in public service, dating back to when Jonathan served as Vice President and Hayatu-Deen was a member of the National Council on Privatization and later chaired the Bureau of Public Enterprises. Hayatu-Deen's visit was a formal step to inform Jonathan of his decision to seek the presidency under the ADC platform.

Jonathan expressed his warm regards and best wishes for Hayatu-Deen's presidential aspirations, acknowledging his significant experience in both public and private sectors, which he believes will be crucial in creating jobs, addressing insecurity, and reducing the cost of living in Nigeria.
