Phyna Claims Victory Over Nkechi Blessing in Boxing Match
Phyna, known as Josephina Otabor and a former winner of Big Brother Naija, triumphed over actress Nkechi Blessing in a four-round celebrity boxing match at the Chaos in the Ring event held at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos. Phyna achieved a knockout victory in the fourth round after effectively controlling the match's pace and wearing down Nkechi throughout the earlier rounds.
As a result of her victory, Phyna was awarded a championship belt and a brand-new 2026 Electric Vehicle (EV), marking her as the first female celebrity champion in the history of the Chaos in the Ring series. Following her win, Phyna issued a challenge to Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia, who was present ringside and accepted the challenge.
The event, sanctioned by the Nigeria Boxing Board of Control (NBBofC), also featured a co-main event where skit maker Carter Efe defeated musician Speed Darlington.
