PiggyVest Marks 10 Years, Disburses N3 Trillion

PiggyVest, a Nigerian savings and investment platform, has disbursed N3 trillion and served 6 million subscribers since its establishment a decade ago. This milestone was announced during the company's 10th anniversary gala held in Lagos, where co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer Mr.

Joshua Chibueze presented a behavioral portrait of the platform's evolution. He noted that users save N61,000 every second, a significant increase from N49,000 the previous year, with savings directed towards various goals such as rent, vacations, business investments, and gadgets.

Ayo Akinola, CEO of PocketApp, discussed the role of regulatory partners in PiggyVest's journey, emphasizing the trust built with entities like the Central Bank of Nigeria, Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Securities and Exchange Commission. He reflected on the challenges faced, stating that these moments ultimately strengthened the platform.

Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer Ms. Odunayo Eweniyi traced the company's origins back to December 2015, highlighting its commitment to helping individuals save.
