PINL Reports Zero Pipeline Fractures, Emphasizes Community Role

Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (PINL) announced zero pipeline fractures across its operational areas in the past two months, a development attributed to enhanced collaboration among host communities, surveillance personnel, contractors, and security agencies. Dr. Akpos Mezeh, General Manager of Community and Government Relations at PINL, made this announcement during the company's Stakeholders’ Engagement Forum in Port Harcourt.
He highlighted that the company's surveillance operations have provided employment for over 35,000 youths and awarded more than N2 billion in scholarships to over 1,500 students. Mezeh called for continued cooperation to protect oil and gas infrastructure and support economic growth in the Niger Delta.
He warned against complacency and stressed that pipeline protection is a shared responsibility. PINL operates in Bayelsa, Rivers, Imo, and Abia states, maintaining relationships with 215 host communities.
The company also focuses on women's empowerment and environmental management, with over 2,000 women benefiting from its initiatives.
