Soldiers Arrest Two with AK-47 in Plateau State Operation

In Plateau State, soldiers arrested two individuals during a targeted operation aimed at addressing escalating tensions following recent attacks in the Anguwan Rukuba area, which reportedly claimed 30 lives. The operation, led by Captain Polycarp Oteh, involved intensified patrols and a stop-and-search exercise across the Jos metropolis.

Conducted on a Friday, this proactive measure was part of a broader mandate to restore normalcy and ensure the safety of lives and property within the state. The troops successfully intercepted the suspects and recovered an AK-47 rifle, four rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, a pump-action firearm, and a cutlass.

Additionally, the operation foiled a planned attack by gunmen at a cattle market in the Yelwa area of Shendam Local Government.
