Troops Arrest Illegal Arms Manufacturers in Plateau

On April 22, at approximately 5:00 PM, troops conducted a raid in Gwandanu Village, located in the Langtang North Local Government Area of Plateau State, following credible intelligence regarding illicit arms production in the area. During the operation, two suspects were apprehended for their involvement in illegal arms manufacturing.

The troops recovered significant items, including two AK-47 rifles, one G3 rifle, two welding machines, a drilling machine, a hand filer, and a toolbox. The suspects are currently in military custody pending further investigation.

This operation is part of an intensified effort by the troops to mop up illegal arms manufacturing in the region, aimed at curbing criminal activities and enhancing security in Plateau State.
