Plateau State residents in Chakfem Chiefdom, Mangu Local Government Area, are facing a dire situation as Fulani bandits invade communities, destroy farmlands, and threaten farmers. The attacks have led to the destruction of crops ready for harvest, exacerbating food insecurity in the region.

The residents, predominantly farmers, are unable to access their farms due to fear of attacks, leading to severe hunger and potential famine. Ayuba Yunana, a community leader, highlights the strategic aim of the bandits to impoverish the community.
