Residents in Kano Cry Out Over Escalating Bandit Attacks, Seek Urgent Government Intervention

Residents in Kano State's Shanono Local Government Area are experiencing recurrent attacks by armed bandits from neighboring Katsina State. The Chairman of the Faruruwa Security Committee, Yahaya Umar Bagobiri, revealed that the attacks have resulted in loss of lives, property destruction, and theft of livestock, with at least 150 cows taken so far.

Bagobiri called for urgent deployment of security operations to address the worsening security situation and prevent the complete overrun of border communities by bandits. The plea was directed at President Bola Tinubu and Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to assist in protecting the people through collaboration with security agencies.
