Plateau Senator Defects to APC, APGA Announces Election Timetable in Anambra

Senator Pam Mwadkon Dachungyang from Plateau State has officially defected from the Action Democratic Party (ADP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The defection was confirmed in a letter read on the Senate floor, citing irreconcilable differences within the ADP as the reason for the move.

In a separate development, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has announced the timetable for its primary elections in preparation for the 2026 local government elections in Anambra State. The party has outlined the schedule for the submission of nomination forms, screening of aspirants, and the conduct of primary elections for chairmanship and councillorship positions.
