Poco Lee Asserts Innocence After UK Detention Release

On September 14, 2023, Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Odinaka, known as Poco Lee, publicly spoke after his reported release from detention in the United Kingdom. He faced five sexual offence charges but insisted he did not commit any of the alleged offences.

Poco Lee communicated during a video call with social media activist VeryDarkMan, who confirmed his release on September 13. The situation garnered attention after a video surfaced of Poco Lee with singer Burna Boy, which was shared as "proof of life." During the call, Poco Lee expressed that he remained calm throughout the ordeal, stating, “God sees my heart,” and emphasized that he would have accepted responsibility if he had committed the alleged offences.

He thanked Burna Boy, Rahman Jago, and others for their support during this challenging time, highlighting the importance of their presence amid serious allegations.
