Abuja Chef Arrested for Alleged N150 Million Robbery

The Nigeria Police Force arrested a chef in Abuja over an alleged robbery valued at N150 million. The arrest was made by the Intelligence Response Team following a preliminary investigation that identified the suspect, who was trained at a catering school in Cotonou, Benin Republic.

The suspect allegedly conspired with two accomplices, identified as Peter Mose, to execute the robbery. On April 23, 2026, the chef reportedly laced food prepared for the residence with a chemical substance intended to incapacitate security personnel.

This facilitated the entry of the accomplices, who vandalized the CCTV monitoring system and ransacked the apartment, stealing cash and twenty luxury wristwatches. The police later intercepted the suspect while attempting to flee towards Gwagwalada en route to Lagos.

An iPhone 17 Pro Max belonging to the victim was also recovered during the operation.
