Sokoto Police Arrest Lovers and Others for Murder and Conspiracy

The Sokoto State Police arrested two lovers and additional suspects for the murder and conspiracy to kill a young man in Sokoto. The victim, Ali Salisu, was allegedly lured to his death by his girlfriend, Rukayya Amadu, who plotted with her lover, Hamisu Ibrahim, to rob and murder him.

The suspects are in custody and will face prosecution for crimes including criminal conspiracy, culpable homicide, armed robbery, and receiving stolen property. The Police Commissioner urged the public to exercise caution in relationships and confirm ownership documents when purchasing valuable items.
