Sokoto Police Arrest Suspected Bandit Financiers, Disrupt Criminal Network

The Sokoto State Police Command has arrested several suspected financiers believed to be supporting bandit operations in the state. The arrests were made during coordinated operations with Zamfara State, leading to the apprehension of key suspects in Tangaza local government area.

One of the suspects, Ruwa Ginyo, identified as a Fulani head, was caught alongside two accomplices. The police recovered stolen cattle and disrupted the flow of funds fueling criminal activities in the region.

The operations are part of a wider strategy to dismantle criminal cells operating within and outside the state. Commissioner Ahm Musa emphasized the importance of proper documentation for transactions to combat criminal activities effectively.
