Man Arrested in Niger for Possessing Military Pistol

On Tuesday, Niger State Police arrested 30-year-old Agada Isaac during a routine patrol at a temporary police checkpoint in Bida Local Government Area. Isaac, who was on a motorcycle, attempted to flee upon noticing the police but was apprehended.

A search of his residence revealed a military Beretta pistol, which he claimed to have bought for N300,000 from Gideon K. Starboi in Suleja.

Additionally, police found military camouflage attire, including a cap, knicker, and jacket. Isaac confessed to being a member of the Vike cult group and stated that a friend had given him the camouflage.

The Niger State Police Command spokesman, Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed the arrest and indicated that further investigations are underway to apprehend Gideon and any accomplices.
