Pantami Supporters Reject Gwamna as APC Consensus Candidate

Supporters of Isa Pantami, organized under the Pantamiyya Movement, have publicly rejected Jamilu Gwamna as the consensus candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming 2027 Gombe State governorship election. The group described the emergence of Gwamna as a consensus candidate as an injustice, asserting that there was no valid consensus achieved without the involvement of all aspirants and their written consent.

They criticized the process as contrary to the directives of APC national leadership and the instructions of President Bola Tinubu regarding internal democracy within the party. The Pantamiyya Movement emphasized that aspirants should have the opportunity to express their interest through the nomination form, and they insisted that the process must comply with the Electoral Act and APC constitution.

Moham Moham, the coordinator of the movement, urged members to remain calm and law-abiding while the matter is addressed, reiterating that no aspirant should be imposed on party members through consensus arrangements.
