Lagos Police Arrest 'Super M' with Locally Made Pistol

On March 5, 2026, at approximately 10:00 PM, the Lagos State Police Command arrested a 30-year-old suspect named Dare Shogaolu, popularly known as "Super M," during a routine stop and search operation in the Mushin area of Lagos. The operation was led by the Division Police Officer (DPO) and an anti-crime patrol team.

The police observed Shogaolu carrying a suspicious white, orange, and yellow polyethylene bag along LUTH Road, which prompted them to conduct a search. The search resulted in the recovery of a locally made pistol, a black leather purse, a charm, and three pairs of slippers.

Preliminary investigations suggest that Shogaolu may be involved in criminal activities that have disturbed the community. He is currently in police custody as investigations continue, and efforts are being intensified to apprehend other members of his criminal group.

The Commissioner of Police for Lagos State, Olohundar Jimoh, reiterated the command's commitment to proactive policing for the safety of residents.
