Bayelsa Police Arrest Suspect in Estate Agent Murder Case

The Bayelsa State Police Command arrested George Idumangi for the murder of estate agent Richard Ekpebu, whose body was found dumped in a bush in July 2025. Idumangi, a member of the Ijaw Youths Council, was apprehended in Lagos while trying to obtain an international passport.

The police investigation, led by Operation Puff Adder, tracked Idumangi to various locations in Lagos. The deceased's family had raised concerns about delays in the case, prompting the Commissioner of Police to transfer it to Operation Puff Adder.

Police sources confirmed the recovery of incriminating items linked to Idumangi during the operation. The suspect is currently in custody for further investigation.
